Job Description
Are you a passionate musician with a knack for sales and a deep understanding of guitars and keyboards? Guitar Center is looking for an energetic and knowledgeable Musical Instrument Sales Advisor to join our team in Manchester, NH. In this commission-based role, you will be instrumental in guiding customers through our extensive product range, demonstrating instruments, and helping them find the perfect gear to fuel their musical passion. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their musical needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice and demonstrate a wide range of guitars, keyboards, and related accessories.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets through effective product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Stay up-to-date with new product releases, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, pricing, and merchandising.
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment for all customers, from beginners to professional musicians.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to play guitar and/or keyboards proficiently.
- Demonstrable passion for musical instruments and the music industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a commission-based sales environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for POS operations and product lookups.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in retail sales, preferably in a music store or consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of other musical instruments (drums, pro audio, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with CRM software and inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
