Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented AI Prompt Engineer to join our innovative team at Accenture Australia. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within Australia. As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will be crucial in developing, refining, and optimizing prompts for various large language models (LLMs) and other AI systems. Your expertise will directly impact the performance, accuracy, and ethical alignment of our AI-driven solutions across diverse client projects. You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and domain experts to translate complex requirements into effective AI interactions, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test sophisticated prompts for various AI models, including LLMs, image generation models, and other generative AI systems.
- Iteratively refine prompts based on model output analysis, performance metrics, and user feedback to achieve desired results and minimize undesirable behaviors.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand model capabilities and limitations.
- Work with product owners and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable prompt strategies.
- Develop and implement best practices for prompt engineering, including version control, evaluation methodologies, and ethical considerations.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and prompt engineering techniques.
- Document prompt designs, testing procedures, and performance benchmarks.
- Contribute to the development of tools and frameworks that streamline prompt creation and evaluation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) with large language models and other generative AI technologies.
- Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to design and optimize prompts for various AI tasks (e.g., text generation, summarization, translation, code generation, creative content).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, AI, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with prompt engineering frameworks or platforms.
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and responsible AI development.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
